Women's Surf Lessons in Falassarna, Crete
Today it was women only, represented by the strong mother daughter duo in the picture. We are all about empowering women and breaking the prejudice that surfing is "just for the guys". The conditions in Falassarna were excellent today, small and glassy waves. This and our super small group size allowed us to combine first time surfers with intermediates. First Andy started with our intermediate surfers and showed them thoroughly where there is room for improvement. Then they paddled out to catch green waves. In Crete on the beach breaks we are always within earshot, so Andy can give feedback to the intermediates throughout the session.
When Nina and Hella paddled, it was time for Irina and Amalie for their first surf experience. At Kalo Surf they are in safe hands, as safety is our first concern. After the safety briefing and theory on the beach, they went in the water for the exercises. They had so much fun throughout, that they are making already plans to visit us next year! We look forward to surfing with you again!
