Happy faces at the beginner Surf Course in Crete
This afternoon with a beautiful sized wave and an empty beach was waiting for our beginner surf course. For Ewa, Liam and Amy it was the first time surfing. We always start our beginners surf lesson with coach Andy's special technique that guarantees quick small achievements and a happy feelings. The most important thing in surfing is catching the wave. This needs to be practiced first. How the board glides in the water, the correct positioning, how to maintain speed. Speed is key for the next step: the pop up. We need to make sure we caught the wave and - just like riding a bicycle - only with speed we can keep our balance. Our beginner surf course this afternoon was full of small achievements and big smiles. Well done & keep on surfing!
