1. "Surf the smallest possible wave."
2. "Go for a large wave count."
Those are two pieces of advice that every beginner surfer should keep in mind. It simply translates to getting as much practice as possible. During practice you build up your strength and solidify your movement patterns. Go for as many waves as possible in one session. Like this you will be ready for the day of the bigger waves!
Today the waves in Kissamos were small and smooth. And yet perfect learning conditions. Jana and Marius covered board handling, positioning and catching waves. Rail and Jochen worked on their starting speed, a fluid pop up and also mastered their first turns! Great job!
